Juice, croissant and muffin were all very good. Restaurants were everywhere around the hotel and parking just two minutes away. I would recommend staying here, for a two star hotel I was impressed. Rooms at the Delta were spacious and clean, it was nice to have a balcony. Staff very friendly. Would stay again. It's very clean and it has everything; you name it, they have it. Its location is rather unfortunate though; it's right smack in the centre of town but it's not really near anything.
Hence for a tourist like me who's never been to Montreal my first day there was a celcius in november! The location is perfect for me. The Airport Bus is nearby at Berri St. The building doesnt look like most hotels and so are the rooms. We stayed on level 2 and it seemed like it was somebody else's bedroom: on T he bathroom is very clean though.
Didnt have a good experience upon check-in as we were assigned a queen-sized bed although we have requested a twin room. The receptionist had that condescending tone and rudely asked us to settle with our online booking agent. Initially, he offered a 'dungeon room' at the basement with no window and just a queen-size bed. Breakfast is the almost the same everyday: 2 croissants, 2 muffins, 2 yogurt cups, 2 packets of juice, cheese and butter. Location is great, just down the street you get a street of food, a street of bars and beers, a subway station, supermarket and post office.
Room was good enough, air con was kinda noisy, if you come in the summer. Fridge is useful, didn't use the tv. Bathroom was shared, but clean. You need to wait for the water to flow for a while before you get the hot water.
I didn't knew on my first shower, and I shivered. It is ok once you learned how to use it. The showing cubicle was small though. It's not sound proof, so keep your voices low. You'll hear your neighbours opening doors, walking to the bathroom, talking loudly in their rooms. But these were expected, so it wasn't a problem for me.
Security wise is good. I booked the hotel through Agoda with a note that the hotel would take my payment. As I travelled to Montreal over a period of 48 hours I received an e-mail unbeknownst to me that I had to pay before on the day f arrival or my reservation would be cancelled. Sure enough as I arrived at midnight my room was gone. Fortunately another was availabe at a higher cost Fortunately another was availabe at a higher cost. Last time that I will book under this situation. Other than that the staff is too courteous and the food too good.
Every thing else is ok. City view rooms offer amazing views of the city, old port, and Mount Royal. Staff is attentive and friendly.
