We are located on our family farm near Lenore, Manitoba

Yes we deliver!

We will contact you via email or phone before we come in to deliver your order to coordinate a delivery time and place. We will do our best to deliver your order to you within a timely manner of placing your order.

Regular deliveries are made to Virden and Brandon at no charge with a minimum $50 order. We also deliver to Winnipeg. If you need your product sooner or your order is less than $50, we can still make arrangements but a delivery charge may be added.

We charge on the dressed weight of the animal which is the hanging weight of the animal.  You will also pay the butcher for the processing of the animal.  When you purchase half an animal you can have the animal custom processed to meet you family’s needs.  Purchasing half is buying in bulk and will give you some cost savings as well.  Please view products for more information on size and cost.

Organic production works with nature avoiding the use of artificial or chemical inputs to produce food, while ensuring environmental sustainability and humane animal treatment. Organic means that our animals are free of any antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones, and animal by-products. All of our feed is also free of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and GMO’s. Annually our farm is inspected by an accredited organic inspector to ensure that we are complying with the Canadian Organic Standards.

All of our animals  are raised using organic and holistic farming practices.

Grass fed means that for their entire lifespan they are fed forages. During the summer they are out on pastures that contain a mix of wild and tame legumes, grasses and forbs, and during the winter they feed on organic alfalfa/grass hay bales or silage.

Pastured means that during the summer months the animals are rotationally grazed on pasture where they can forage on our legume and grass mixed pastures. Some animals are supplemented grain while on pasture.

We use our local government inspected processing plant, Renards Meat Service, in Virden, Manitoba to process the beef, lamb, and pork. We will transport the animals just prior to processing. Animals are transported and handled in as low stress a manner as possible to minimize the stress on the animals. The chickens and turkeys are processed at a local non-government inspected plant.
